Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Kurtis Blow recorded Christmas Rappin' for Mercury in 1979 and followed it with The Breaks. His early album career moved from a self-titled debut through Deuce and Party Time, with the latter bringing go-go into his rap recordings.
