About Newcleus
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Newcleus developed from Brooklyn's Jam-On Productions, a DJ and MC collective associated with Ben 'Cozmo D' Cenac. A later core included Cenac, Yvette 'Lady E' Cook, Monique Angevin and Bob 'Chilly B' Crafton. Their electronic equipment and block-party repertoire shaped an electro sound heard on Jam-On Revenge and Jam on It. A demo led to a release through producer Joe Webb and Mayhew Records, followed by wider distribution through Sunnyview.
