Inspiration and background
Researched recording background
That's the Way God Planned It is selected in the complete Parts 1 & 2 form documented on Billy Preston's 1969 album. The licensed edition identifies a 2010 digital remaster, which describes later mastering work. That remaster date does not replace the original year, and the complete performance remains distinct from a possibly shorter annual-list reference.
Evidence scope: Sourced recording, release or edition context; private songwriting inspiration is not inferred.
