About The Cranberries
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
The Cranberries emerged from Limerick, Ireland, after Dolores O'Riordan joined the band that had begun as the Cranberry Saw Us. Her voice joined Noel Hogan's guitar, Mike Hogan's bass and Fergal Lawler's drums. Their Stephen Street-produced debut, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, appeared in 1993 and included Dreams and Linger. No Need to Argue followed with Zombie. The group's later catalog includes Bury the Hatchet, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee and the acoustic and orchestral reworkings on Something Else.
