Nas is the recording name of rapper Nasir Jones. Halftime, included on the 1992 Zebrahead soundtrack, introduced his work to an international audience before the debut album Illmatic in 1994. It Was Written followed in 1996, with Street Dreams and If I Ruled the World among its songs. Later albums include Stillmatic and God's Son. His career also includes guest verses on other artists' records and work in film, alongside his own album catalog.
