About Parmalee

Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.

Parmalee is a country band from North Carolina whose recording lineup combined brothers Matt and Scott Thomas with Barry Knox and Josh McSwain. Matt supplied lead vocals and guitar, Scott played drums, Knox handled bass, and McSwain added guitar and keyboards. Carolina became an early signature recording. Later repertoire included Take My Name, Girl in Mine and Gonna Love You, alongside the explicitly shared collaboration Just the Way with singer Blanco Brown.
