About 3rd Bass
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
3rd Bass brought MC Serch and Prime Minister Pete Nice together in a New York hip-hop partnership associated with DJ Daddy Rich. Def Jam issued The Cactus Album in 1989. The Gas Face, Brooklyn-Queens and Steppin' to the A.M. were among the recordings that established the group's repertoire. The performers later pursued other work, including Pete Nice's museum curatorial role, and reunited onstage for a 2024 event celebrating radio station WBLS.
