About Black Moon
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
Black Moon is the Brooklyn hip-hop trio of Buckshot, 5FT and DJ Evil Dee. Its 1993 debut, Enta da Stage, combined the two rappers' forceful delivery with Evil Dee's sample-based production. The record's instrumental textures ranged from soul-derived loops to darker jazz material, placing the group within New York's underground rap scene. War Zone followed in 1999, extending the catalog after a substantial interval between the first two studio albums.
