Eddie Kendricks was an original member of the Temptations, bringing a light tenor and falsetto to songs such as Get Ready and Just My Imagination. His solo work for Tamla moved from All by Myself to the extended dance material of People... Hold On and Keep on Truckin'. Producers Frank Wilson and Leonard Caston helped shape this period. Later collaborations included performances with David Ruffin and Hall and Oates, extending his collaborations beyond the Tamla recordings.
