V3.6 reconciles the original release year with the reviewed Artist Essentials entry for this exact retained recording ID. Year precision is used; an album-first release is not silently replaced by a later single, reissue or annual-list year. The original chronological single program places this performance in 1965, before the next-year album or annual-list appearance. The later digital compilation date is not used. Only original-year precision is assigned.
The large badge identifies this listening list, not a newly issued recording. Later reissues and renewed chart popularity do not replace an original release date. How years are assigned.

About The Supremes
Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.
The Supremes developed from the Primettes and signed with Motown in 1961. The trio of Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard became closely associated with songs written and produced by Holland-Dozier-Holland, including Where Did Our Love Go, Baby Love and You Can't Hurry Love. Their coordinated presentation complemented the records' pop appeal. The group was later billed as Diana Ross and the Supremes. After Ross left for a solo career, Jean Terrell joined, and subsequent lineups extended the group's work into the 1970s.
