ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Third Eye Blind

Song-specific inspiration or recording background is not established for this entry. This sourced artist profile provides career context.

Third Eye Blind formed in San Francisco in 1993 around singer Stephan Jenkins. The band combined melodic pop-rock writing with the sound of 1990s alternative rock, building an audience through Bay Area performances. Its 1997 self-titled debut included Semi-Charmed Life, How's It Going to Be and Jumper. Blue and Out of the Vein extended that recording career into subsequent years.
