About Tony Orlando
Tony Orlando moved from New York doo-wop singing into the professional songwriting world, recording demos and early singles such as Halfway to Paradise and Bless You. Work in music publishing preceded his return to performing with Candida under the Dawn name. With Telma Hopkins and Joyce Vincent Wilson, that project continued through Knock Three Times and Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree. Television variety work expanded Orlando's audience alongside a continuing stage career.
