About Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Bachman-Turner Overdrive grew from Randy Bachman's work after leaving the Guess Who and from the earlier group Brave Belt. Fred Turner shared vocal duties with Bachman as the band developed a direct, guitar-driven rock sound. Its first two Mercury albums arrived in 1973, bringing songs such as Let It Ride and Takin' Care of Business into its repertoire. Not Fragile followed, and later reunions continued a history marked by changes in membership and recording arrangements.
