About Ten City
Ten City emerged from Chicago house music around singer Byron Stingily, keyboardist Byron Burke and guitarist Herb Lawson. Working with Marshall Jefferson, the group combined dance rhythms with gospel and soul vocal traditions. Its early catalog included That's the Way Love Is and the album Foundation, followed by several further albums before later revivals.
