About Cliff Richard
Cliff Richard entered British recording under a stage name adopted from Harry Webb, releasing Move It through EMI's Columbia label. His early backing group, initially called the Drifters, became the Shadows. Songs including Living Doll, Travellin' Light and Please Don't Tease accompanied an expanding career in concerts and television. Film roles in The Young Ones and Summer Holiday added another setting for his singing, with soundtrack repertoire becoming a substantial part of his early popular identity.
