About Blur
Blur are an English band formed in London by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. They became closely associated with the 1990s Britpop movement, drawing on British groups including the Kinks, the Who and the Jam. Early singles included She's So High and There's No Other Way. In 1995, Country House reached the top of the UK singles chart during a heavily publicized contest with Oasis, making the band's work part of a wider national discussion about British pop music.
