About The Stylistics
The Stylistics grew out of two local singing groups in Philadelphia, the Percussions and the Monarchs. You're a Big Girl Now led to a wider recording opportunity with Avco, followed by an album produced by Thom Bell. Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart), You Are Everything and Betcha by Golly, Wow helped establish their association with melodic Philadelphia soul and love songs. Round Two continued that early catalog, while material by writers including Linda Creed formed an important part of the group's repertoire.
