About David Ruffin
David Ruffin brought a blues-inflected voice to the Temptations, singing lead on recordings including My Girl and Ain't Too Proud to Beg. His later solo work included My Whole World Ended and Walk Away from Love, with producers such as Norman Whitfield and Van McCoy contributing to different stages of the catalog. He also recorded with his brother Jimmy. Appearances with Eddie Kendricks and Hall and Oates later brought his voice into another collaborative setting.
