About Charley Pride
Charley Pride grew up in Sledge, Mississippi, listening to country music on the Grand Ole Opry. He pursued baseball before his singing brought him to Nashville and RCA Records. His warm baritone became familiar through Just Between You and Me, Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone and Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'. His success also challenged racial barriers within the country industry.
