About Kool Moe Dee
Kool Moe Dee developed in Harlem's early rap scene as a member of the Treacherous Three with L.A. Sunshine and Special K. His solo work paired precise, forceful delivery with funk-based rhythms and social commentary. Go See the Doctor preceded the wider breakthrough of How Ya Like Me Now. Knowledge Is King included the Teddy Riley-produced I Go to Work, while Funke, Funke Wisdom continued his combination of dance rhythms, elaborate wordplay and political themes.
