About John Anderson
John Anderson grew up in Apopka, Florida, playing garage rock before the music of Merle Haggard and George Jones directed him toward country. After moving to Nashville and signing with Warner Bros., his distinctive phrasing found an audience through touring and radio. Your Lying Blue Eyes, Wild and Blue and Swingin' helped establish his repertoire. His traditional country approach was part of the early 1980s return to the genre's roots, alongside a new generation of performers.
