About Rickie Lee Jones
Rickie Lee Jones developed her songwriting while performing in Los Angeles clubs and coffeehouses. Lowell George recorded her song Easy Money before she signed with Warner Bros. Her self-titled 1979 debut included Chuck E.'s in Love and Last Chance Texaco, bringing jazz-inflected phrasing into a pop and rock setting. Pirates followed, extending her work as a songwriter and interpreter. Her original recordings, later cover projects and live performances form distinct parts of the catalog.
