About Eric Carmen
Eric Carmen grew up in Ohio and studied music as a child before the Beatles helped turn his attention toward rock. After playing in local bands, he became a member of the Raspberries, whose repertoire included Go All the Way and I Wanna Be with You. His subsequent solo work included All by Myself. Film projects broadened his career through writing Almost Paradise for Footloose and performing and producing Hungry Eyes for Dirty Dancing, followed by later band reunions.
