About East 17
East 17 formed in East London in 1991 and took its name from Walthamstow's postal district. The band's recordings brought elements of hip-hop and dance into a pop-group setting. House of Love began its run of singles, while Stay Another Day established a contrasting part of the repertoire. The group continued recording beyond its initial 1990s era, with the later album 24/7 including Strip, Crying, Feel the Love and Coming Home.
