About Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter raised in Aberdeen. She studied flute, piano and harpsichord at London's Royal Academy of Music before developing a pop career with Dave Stewart in Eurythmics. Their recordings and striking visual presentation established a partnership distinct from the solo career she began in the early 1990s. Alongside her recording work, Lennox has supported organizations including Oxfam and Amnesty International and worked on HIV and AIDS advocacy with UNAIDS, bringing public performance and humanitarian activity into her wider career.
