About KC and the Sunshine Band
KC and the Sunshine Band formed around Harry Wayne Casey in Miami after his early work at the T.K. Records studio complex. Their sound combined R&B and funk with Latin percussion, supplying dance-oriented songs such as Get Down Tonight, That's the Way (I Like It) and Shake Your Booty. Concert work continued beyond the 1970s, while the later Feeling You! The 60s album revisited earlier pop and soul repertoire.
