About America
America began with Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell and Dan Peek, who met as teenagers in London. Acoustic guitars and blended vocals shaped the trio's early Warner Bros. albums, including its self-titled debut and Homecoming. George Martin became a key studio collaborator with Holiday and continued through Hearts and later releases. The band's catalog connects folk-based songs, carefully arranged pop and soft rock. Solo work by individual members and unrelated artists with similar titles remain separate identities.
