About Salt-N-Pepa
Salt-N-Pepa developed in New York around rappers Cheryl James and Sandra Denton. Hot, Cool & Vicious and the single Push It established their early recording identity. Later albums expanded the repertoire through Expression and Let's Talk About Sex, followed by Shoop and the En Vogue collaboration Whatta Man on Very Necessary. Their success helped make women-led rap a prominent part of popular music, with None of Your Business also earning recognition from the Grammy Awards.
