About Gary Lewis & the Playboys
Gary Lewis & the Playboys developed an audience through performances at Disneyland, with Lewis initially working behind the drums. Producer Snuff Garrett brought the group into recording, working with arranger Leon Russell. This Diamond Ring and Count Me In began a run of mid-1960s pop singles, followed by songs including Save Your Heart for Me and She's Just My Style. Television appearances, including The Ed Sullivan Show, broadened their audience.
