About Three 6 Mafia
Three 6 Mafia developed from Memphis's underground rap scene in the early 1990s. DJ Paul, Lord Infamous and Juicy J were central to its beginnings, with a wider lineup established by the album Mystic Stylez. Dark production and repeated rhythmic patterns helped distinguish its sound. The group also built the Prophet Entertainment and Hypnotize Minds recording operations. Later albums and singles, including Most Known Unknown and Stay Fly, brought that regional approach to a broader audience.
