Bill Whelan is a Limerick-born composer whose work spans theatre, film and the concert hall. Riverdance brought his music to an international stage, while orchestral pieces include The Seville Suite and The Connemara Suite. His studio production work has involved U2, Kate Bush, Van Morrison and Planxty. He also composed film scores and Linen & Lace, a flute concerto written for James Galway.
