About War
War developed in Southern California through work with producer Jerry Goldstein and singer Eric Burdon. Harmonica, saxophone, keyboards and hand percussion joined its rhythm section as the band explored several musical styles. After the Eric Burdon and War albums, the group recorded under its own name, releasing All Day Music and The World Is a Ghetto. Later repertoire included Me and Baby Brother, Low Rider and Why Can't We Be Friends.
