About Carole King
Carole King first established herself as a songwriter with Gerry Goffin, writing repertoire for the Shirelles, Little Eva, the Drifters and other performers. Her own recording career included It Might as Well Rain Until September before Tapestry brought her solo singing and piano to a much larger audience in 1971. She later reunited in concert with James Taylor. King's performances of her compositions remain separate from the many recordings made by other artists.
