About Charlie Daniels Band
The Charlie Daniels Band brought Southern rock into conversation with country, bluegrass, gospel and folk traditions. Its leader had worked as a Nashville session musician before forming the group. Fire on the Mountain helped establish the band's rock-oriented sound, while The Devil Went Down to Georgia and Million Mile Reflections strengthened its country audience. Appearances in Urban Cowboy and the Volunteer Jam concerts connected the band with performers and listeners across several musical communities.
