About 98 Degrees
98 Degrees brought together brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre, whose shared Ohio connections helped form the group in Los Angeles. A Motown deal introduced their 1997 debut, followed by 98 Degrees and Rising and songs including Because of You. The quartet combined pop and R&B harmonies with romantic ballads. Revelation expanded its rhythmic range and the members' songwriting contributions, alongside a separate Christmas recording project.
