About The Doobie Brothers
The Doobie Brothers' catalog combines several distinctive singers and songwriters, including Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons and Michael McDonald. Songs such as Black Water and What a Fool Believes represent different parts of that history. Their later collaboration on Walk This Road brought those writing voices together with producer John Shanks. The band's arrangements draw on rock, soul, blues and vocal harmony, allowing individual musical approaches to remain recognizable within a shared group sound.
