About Elvin Bishop
Elvin Bishop developed his guitar playing in Chicago's blues clubs and in the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. A later move to the San Francisco area led to a solo career on Fillmore, Epic and Capricorn, mixing blues with rock, country and soul. Fooled Around and Fell in Love appeared during his Capricorn period. Subsequent Alligator recordings returned attention to his blues repertoire, and his Big Fun Trio paired guitar with piano, percussion and shared vocals.
