Roger Williams was the American pianist born Louis Weertz, whose records joined popular melodies with jazz and classical piano training. Dave Kapp signed him and introduced the recording name Roger Williams. His interpretations of Autumn Leaves, Near You and Born Free became prominent releases, supported by an extensive album catalog built around melodic instrumental arrangements.
