About The Dartells
The Dartells formed in Oxnard, California, with a lineup combining vocals, bass, guitar, drums, organ and two saxophones. Manager and producer Tom Ayers helped the group record for Arlen before Dot gave Hot Pastrami wider distribution. An album followed under the same title, along with singles including Dance Everybody Dance and Clap Your Hands. The group's brief career sits within the early-1960s dance-band tradition.
