About Dwight Yoakam
Dwight Yoakam's country music connects his Kentucky roots with the Bakersfield sound and rock-oriented performance. His debut Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. established repertoire he later revisited in different settings. Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars... recast earlier songs with acoustic musicians and bluegrass arrangements, building on collaborations with Ralph Stanley and Earl Scruggs. Producers Gary Paczosa and Jon Randall helped direct that later project.
