About Bobby Rydell
Bobby Rydell began performing as a child drummer in Philadelphia before becoming associated with the city's teen-pop singers. His recording repertoire included Wild One, Volare, Swingin' School and Wildwood Days, combining youthful pop material with established songs. Screen work broadened that career: he appeared opposite Ann-Margret in the 1963 film musical Bye Bye Birdie. Nightclub and concert performances also remained part of his work as an entertainer.
