About Steve Miller Band
The Steve Miller Band developed within San Francisco's late-1960s music scene, with early albums including Children of the Future, Sailor and Brave New World. That work combined psychedelic rock with a strong blues foundation. The later catalog emphasized concise, memorable songs such as The Joker, Take the Money and Run and Fly Like an Eagle. Miller's experience with blues musicians and interest in jazz continued to inform the band's recordings and its balance of familiar songs with deeper repertoire.
