About Jimmy Ruffin
Jimmy Ruffin moved from gospel singing into Motown session work and solo recordings, balancing early musical jobs with work on a Detroit car assembly line. What Becomes of the Brokenhearted established his soul repertoire, followed by songs including Gonna Give Her All the Love I've Got. Later records extended beyond Motown, including the Robin Gibb-produced Sunrise. A period based in Britain also brought collaborations with Paul Weller and Heaven 17.
