About Donnie Iris
Donnie Iris developed his career in western Pennsylvania, first with the Jaggerz and later with Wild Cherry. He wrote the Jaggerz' national hit The Rapper. His partnership with Mark Avsec led to recording sessions with Albritton McClain, Marty Lee Hoenes and Kevin Valentine, producing Ah! Leah!, Agnes and other material for Back on the Streets. Those musicians became the Cruisers, the band identity that accompanied Iris as he emerged as a solo artist.
