About The Primitives
The Primitives combined bright pop hooks with fuzzy guitars, moving from the independent music scene into wider recognition with Crash. Their RCA period included Galore, co-produced by Ian Broudie, which brought together concise songs such as You Are the Way and Lead Me Astray. After the group split in the early 1990s, a later reunion produced Echoes and Rhymes and Spin-O-Rama. Guitarist PJ Court also helped assemble archival editions of the band's earlier recordings.
