About John Lennon
John Lennon's musical career grew from the Quarrymen into the Beatles and a songwriting partnership with Paul McCartney. Alongside recording, he published the books In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works, combining prose, poetry and drawings. His later work with Yoko Ono included the Plastic Ono Band and Give Peace a Chance. Solo material such as Imagine continued his engagement with personal expression and public ideas beyond the Beatles' collective identity.
