ARTIST BACKGROUND

About Natalie Cole

Natalie Cole developed her own recording career after performing with the college band Black Magic. Her Capitol debut, Inseparable, appeared in 1975 with This Will Be (An Everlasting Love). She worked across R&B, pop, jazz and standards, later revisiting repertoire associated with her father, Nat King Cole. The 1991 album Unforgettable...With Love included a duet assembled with his earlier recorded voice, while further projects explored holiday music and the Great American Songbook.
