About Ringo Starr
Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey in Liverpool, played with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes before joining the Beatles in 1962. His drumming emphasized steady time and carefully placed fills. His solo recordings explored orchestral pop standards on Sentimental Journey and country music on Beaucoups of Blues. The 1973 album Ringo included Photograph and You're Sixteen, while later touring brought changing editions of his All-Starr Band.
