About The Mystics
The Mystics grew out of the Overons, a Brooklyn vocal group active in the late 1950s. Their lineup included Phil and Al Cracolici, Al Contrera, George Galfo and Bob Ferrante. Manager Jim Gribble helped secure a Laurie Records contract, and Hushabye, written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, became their major national hit in 1959.
