About Blake Shelton
Blake Shelton grew up in Ada, Oklahoma, where he developed his singing and guitar playing and performed at the local McSwain Theatre. He moved to Nashville at seventeen to pursue country music. His first Grand Ole Opry appearance came in 2001, followed by induction in 2010. His Oklahoma background also appeared in the presentation of Bringing Back the Sunshine: the 2014 album cover featured Ada's water tower, linking a later recording chapter to his hometown.
